If you or a loved one is has a disorder which causes difficulty with speech, language or swallowing, finding the right professional to help with your communication needs can be a challenge. Here at Speech Associates of New York, our goal is to match you with the speech-language pathologist who is best-suited to your needs.
Speech Associates of New York was founded by Jayne Latz, a certified speech-language pathologist who has over 25 years of experience providing therapy at hospitals and skilled-nursing facilities across New York City. In addition, Jayne has taught at New York University, supervising gradate student’s in the speech-language pathology program. Jayne has also provided mentorship in the field, helping to train students from local schools during her time working in medical settings.
The rest of our team is composed of a range of speech-language pathologists, all certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and each trained in a particular area of expertise. Rather than a “one size fits all” approach, we make sure that we match our clients with the professional whose training and experience are best suited to their needs. Our team has specialists with expertise in:
- Early Childhood Intervention
- Communication-Based Academic Difficulties
- Children on the Autistic Spectrum
- Speech, Language and Cognitive Deficits resulting from Traumatic Brain Injury
- Adults with Parkinson’s Disease and Other Progressive Neurological Disorders
- Communication and Swallowing Issues Resulting from Stroke
- And many more!
Once an evaluation has been completed and we’ve matched you with the trained professional who is right for you, we make sure you continue to receive consistent therapy with that specialist. We are conveniently located on the Upper East Side in New York City. We also provide in-home therapy to make your experience as convenient as possible.
